LMS now manage a number of lender panels across all jurisdictions. With this in mind it’s important that the information we hold for each firm is as current and up to date as possible.
Recently, we have seen an increase in customer’s requesting a specific branch. If you do have an office conducting conveyancing that is not listed for selection within panel membership, this may delay receipt of instructions, the mortgage offer and result in charge registration updates being overlooked.
The ICO have also reported 957 data security incidents in Q4, a steady increase of 17% from Q3. The top reported incidents are listed as, data faxed/posted or emailed to an incorrect recipient, loss of theft of paperwork and failure to use bcc when sending emails.
We appreciate that changes in both personnel and premises are part and parcel of a growing business, therefore in order to continue to receive essential updates from both LMS and our lender, please take time to revisit the following;
- Main contact
- Membership Managers
- Fee earners and administration staff
- Additional branches
Membership details should be revisited on a regular basis and include the addition of all branches available to conduct conveyancing.
