NatWest – Handbook Update March 2021

ITEMS OF CORRESPONDENCE NO LONGER REQUIRED BY NATWEST

Following an update to the CML Handbook, there is now no need to notify NatWest of the following:

• Confirmation of mortgage drawdown
• Confirmation of mortgage redemption and request for discharge

There has only been a limited reduction in correspondence since the Handbook changes were made, which creates additional work for NatWest & the legal firm, as well as delaying the Customer Journey.

NEXT STEPS

Refrain from sending the noted confirmations to NatWest with immediate effect.
