- Saffron Building Society becomes the 42nd lender to join LMS Panel Link, which will facilitate digitised case progression.
- Utilising Secure Link and Charge Registration, Saffron Building Society will also benefit from increased security and efficiencies, resulting in better experiences for its customers.
Today, LMS, the UK’s leading provider of conveyancing services, announces its partnership with Saffron Building Society, the latest lender to join LMS Panel Link.
LMS Panel Link securely connects lenders with fully vetted law firms – firms that have met specific quality and compliance criteria – within a single platform. Saffron Building Society, which has been serving its customers since 1849, offers a variety of mortgage options and is passionate about making the home-buying process easier for its customers. Now, with LMS Panel Link, Saffron will experience more streamlined and secure communication, connecting swiftly with trusted law firms which will help springboard customer transactions.
Saffron Building Society will also be utilising Secure Link.
With its knowledge base of lender-approved FAQs, Secure Link will significantly reduce the post-offer conveyancing queries this lender receives. In the event that a response does not adequately answer the query, then a conversation thread can be created between the law firm and lender. This process not only makes query management less time-consuming for the lender and reduces the queries made by less secure methods, but it also effectively reduces the turnaround time for law firms from a typical two days to as little as two hours.
Another key feature of Secure Link is the redemption statement service, which provides an efficient way for law firms to request redemption statements.
Since Saffron will also be using Charge Registration, customers will experience a more streamlined process in this crucial part of the journey. Saffron will receive real-time updates on applications from HMLR, enabling the lender to keep track of all cases through to registration without the need to chase law firms. Ultimately, Charge Registration offers further peace of mind to customers, facilitating stress-free journeys.
LMS is delighted to partner with Saffron Building Society and looks forward to working together to make the mortgage experience more efficient and quicker for its customers.
Suzanne O’Connor, chief relationship officer at LMS, comments, ‘As ever, forming a new partnership provides a moment for us to celebrate, particularly when welcoming a well-established lender, such as Saffron Building Society, to our panel of trusted law firms. Onboarding a lender highlights that more and more key stakeholders in the mortgage market are seeking ways to further digitalise their processes, connecting and streamlining to suit the needs of today’s home buyers. LMS looks forward to collaborating with Saffron Building Society and enhancing the journey for its customers.’
Brent Jackson, head of member services at Saffron Building Society, comments, ‘Our aim as a lender is to provide our customers with the best possible mortgage experience. Therefore, we’re excited to partner with LMS, utilising their network of law firms and services, such as Charge Registration, to provide slicker transactions for our customers. When we can speed up repetitive and time-consuming processes, this frees up more time for us to focus on our customers.’
