Leeds Building Society Internal Remortgages & Secure Link

From Monday 29 June 2026, Leeds Building Society will allow customers to remortgage internally in a limited number of circumstances. These cases will be submitted through the panel in the same way as standard remortgages and can be identified by specific Special Offer Conditions.

This applies where the mortgage offer includes one of these conditions:

M240: The new mortgage amount is lower than the customer’s current Leeds Building Society mortgage, which must be repaid in full on or before completion.

M241: This Mortgage Offer is for the remortgage of a Property that will now be used as your primary

residence. Any previous mortgage offers for this Property relating to it being used for letting

purposes are no longer applicable.

M242: This Mortgage Offer is for the remortgage of a Property that will now be used for letting purposes. Any previous mortgage offers for this Property relating to it being used for residential purposes are no longer applicable.

In these cases, Leeds Building Society funds will be used to redeem an existing Leeds Building Society mortgage.

What you need to do

When requesting a redemption statement through the Secure Link portal, use the usual process.

If one of the above Special Offer Conditions appears on the mortgage offer, select “LBS to LBS remortgage as per the mortgage condition” as the reason.

There is no change to how or when Leeds Building Society returns redemption statements.

Please stop using any existing process for requesting redemption statements on LBS to LBS remortgages.
