In November 2025, we wrote to you to let you know that we’re working towards bringing the business of Clydesdale Bank PLC (trading as Virgin Money and Clydesdale Bank) into Nationwide Building Society.
Now that the Court has approved the transfer, we plan for Clydesdale Bank PLC’s business to become part of Nationwide at 23:59 on 2 April 2026 by a Court Order under Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
